Okay, I beg of you to please 🙏 just trust me one last time. I have tried my fair share of food trends, but The Viral Watermelon Sandwich recipe will have you shook. My mind was blown when I took that first bite because it tasted RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. What I thought was going to be an epic fail, was incredibly delicious, with a flavor combo that somehow, worked. It combines fresh, juicy 🍉 watermelon with crisp salty pickles, spicy honey, sweetness from the balsamic glaze and creaminess from Havarti. That first bite made my tastebuds go bananas🤪 and I’m sure yours will too!

A hand holds a sandwich made with watermelon slices as the bread, filled with cheese and leafy greens, on a white plate. Bright natural light casts shadows across the scene.

How to Prepare This Watermelon Sandwich

🔪 Use a sharp knife to slice two thin squares out of a watermelon (should resemble two slices of bread).

🥒 On top of one watermelon slice, add 3 pickle slices, a cheese slice, a drizzle of hot honey and balsamic glaze. Lastly, add the fresh basil leaves.

🍉 Top with the second square slice of watermelon and enjoy!

Nonna’s Tip 🍉

You can pat the watermelon slices dry with a paper towel before assembling the sandwich to reduce excess moisture.

A stack of watermelon slices layered with mozzarella cheese and basil, secured with a wooden pick, sits on a white plate in front of a sunlit window with a garden view.
