Decadent Fudgy Chocolate Protein Smoothie

This is my go-to when I have serious chocolate cravings or when I have no time to prep a breakfast. The protein powder is totally optional and you can absolutely leave it out or even add more hemp seeds/ hearts too. For every 3 tablespoons of hemp seeds there are 10 grams of protein so it’s a wonderful alternative. You will need:
Decadent Fudgy Chocolate Protein Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1/4-1/2 ripe banana , up to you
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk , or any milk you like
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds/hearts
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cacao or cocoa powder
- 1 scoop of protein powder , any or leave it out
- ½ pitted Medjool date , if banana is not sweet enough
- few mini-choc chips are optional for presentation or for the kids
Instructions
- Add everything to a blender and blend. If you want it nice and gold you can refrigerate it or add ice to your glass. Enjoy.
