My three-ingredient Cottage Cheese Pudding a total powerhouse but feels like a decadent dessert. This beautiful dish has 30 grams of 💪 protein total — yes, you read that right! The secret ingredient? Cottage cheese, of course. In this recipe, I’ve whipped the high-protein dairy in a food processor until a luscious, silky texture is achieved. Combined with 🍌 banana and chocolate protein powder, you won’t even recognize the taste or texture of the cottage cheese. This also works with full-fat ricotta cheese or full-fat thick yogurt, which will give it a bit of tang.

Why You’ll Love Cottage Cheese Pudding

Cottage cheese is having a moment and I am here for it. Even if you’re not a fan, in this Cottage Cheese Pudding, I promise you won’t even notice it’s there. But what you will notice is the protein punch that keeps your body fueled for a 🏃‍➡️ workout or satiated until your next meal. This is really the perfect snack, dessert, or post-workout treat. 🍫 Chocolatey, slightly sweet, light, and creamy. This recipe makes two portions, which will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days—talk about a convenient treat to have on hand!

How to Prepare

🍌 Add the cottage cheese, 1/4 of a banana, and protein powder to a food processor.

🌀 Process until a creamy mousse-like texture forms.

🍫 Divide the mousse into two serving bowls, sprinkle with chocolate shavings (if using), and enjoy!

Variations and Substitutions for Cottage Cheese Pudding

  1. I used a chocolate and 🥜 peanut butter-flavored protein powder, but you can use whatever variety you enjoy.
  2. You can top the mousse with chocolate shavings, mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, 🥥 coconut flakes, or fresh berries.
  3. You can also make this recipe with full-fat ricotta cheese of full-fat thick yogurt (such as Greek yogurt) instead of cottage cheese. If made with yogurt, keep in mind that the consistency may be thinner.
  4. You can use any dairy-free alternative if you are lactose intolerant.
