Why You’ll Love This Boiled Egg Hack

This Boiled Egg Hack is so simple yet so 💡 genius, you won’t believe you didn’t think of it yourself. All you need is a sharp 🔪 knife and a simple rolling technique and you’re golden. If you love deviled eggs like I do, you will never struggle to get a beautifully intact white shell again. It couldn’t be simpler, more effective, or fun to make deviled eggs!

How to Prepare

🥚 Place a hard-boiled egg on the surface of your cutting board.

🔪 Now, take a sharp chef’s knife and, starting from the handle end of the knife, insert the knife into the top center of the egg.

🌀 Gently roll the egg until it cuts all the way around, keeping the knife just at the surface of the egg so it doesn’t cut all the way through.

👩‍🍳 Now, you should be able to gently separate the egg white halves from the perfectly intact yolk.

Nonna’s Tip 🔪

Make sure to keep the edge of the knife just at the surface of the egg so it doesn’t cut all the way through.

Variations and Substitutions for Boiled Egg Hack

  1. This Boiled Egg Hack is best for hard-boiled 🥚 eggs since the yolk is firm. Soft-boiled eggs have a runny yolk that would not remain intact when separated.
