How to Prepare The Jessica Alba Salad

🥕 Grate or julienne the carrots, and add to a bowl.

🍅 Then, slice the cherry tomatoes, and peel a large avocado, removing the pit.

🥑 With a knife, slice and dice the avocado, then add it to the bowl.

🧂 Season with salt and pepper to taste.

🍋 To preserve the lemon, poke a hole through the middle with a metal straw, preventing it from drying out and keeping seeds out. Alternatively, cut and squeeze the lemon.

Nonna’s Tip 🥗

Be sure that you julienne or grate the carrots finely for a more delicate texture and even distribution of flavors throughout the salad.

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots, julienned or grated
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste
  • lemon juice , to taste
  • olive oil, drizzle
  • parsley , for garnish

Instructions

  • Grate or Julienne the carrots, and to a bowl.
  • Slice the cherry tomatoes, and peel one large avocado making sure to take out the pit.
  • Slice and dice the avocado and add it to the bowl.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. I take a whole lemon and I like to poke a hole into it straight through the middle through the round pit at the bottom with a metal straw piercing through as a hack.
  • I do this to keep my lemon from drying out if I'm not using it all and to avoid the seeds going in. Feel free to cut and squeeze it as well.
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil, parsley for garnish and enjoy.
