These are my two-ingredient Easy Oven Smores that will make you feel like you’re 🏕️ camping, without the bugs 🐜 and humidity 🥵. Oh, how I love s’mores: the warm chocolate and toasty marshmallow make me feel cozy and nostalgic. But let’s be real – making s’mores is a COMMITMENT 😂! You have to start a campfire and juggle multiple ingredients, all while little hands are constantly reaching for more! What starts as a fun idea can quickly turn into a hassle. There IS an easier way! My indoor Easy Oven Smores take 2 minutes and 2 ingredients…and you can make them in large batches! They’re perfect for sleepovers, movie nights, or cool evenings-anytime those s’more cravings hit 😋!

Why You’ll Love Easy Oven Smores

Crispy, chcoolatey biscuits 🍫. Puffy, melty marshmallows ☁️. And no campfire in sight. My Easy Oven Smores are so simple and made with just two ingredients: marshmallows and chocolate digestive biscuits. That’s right, the cookies mimic that graham cracker crunch with a built in chocolate layer. This means less juggling for you and more time making memories! Simply layer your cookies, chocolate side up, on a baking dish and place a marshmallow on top. Then broil in the oven for two minutes and voila! The easiest 👏 smores 👏 ever 👏. The cookies stay crisp and snappy, while the chocolate and marshmallows melt into ooey gooey bliss. Did I mention no bugs 😜? It’s a total win-win 💯.

Ingredients

Digestive chocolate biscuits: Chocolatey, crunchy, and sweet, these digestive bisuits have chocolate pre-layered so you won’t have to juggle multiple components.

Marshmallows: Golden toasted marshmallows give your smores a pillowy texture that melts in your mouth and perfectly complements the crunchy cookies.

Nonna’s Tip 🔥

These cook quick! Keep an eye on your marshmallows the whole time they’re in the oven because they can easily burn.

Make Ahead and Storage Tips

Planning a party? Made too many smores? Don’t worry-I gotchu 😉! Easy Oven Smores are best enjoyed fresh and warm, but there are a few hacks for making these ahead and storing leftovers.

  • Made too many? Let your smores cool completely, then transfer them to an air tight container. They will keep for about 2 days at room temperature. The cookies may soften a little-that’s totally normal. They will still be delicious!
  • Ready to reheat? Pop your assembled smores back into the oven (350F) or air fryer (325F) for 2-3 minutes and watch that melty magic return.
  • Make them ahead. You can pre-assemble your smores in your baking dish and leave them covered on the counter until you get ready to broil. Since they cook in only two minutes, pop them in the oven just before serving and enjoy warm!

Variations and Substitutions for Easy Oven Smores

  1. You can absolutely make these Oven Baked S’mores gluten-free because many stores carry gluten-free versions of chocolate digestive cookies.
  2. Instead of the digestive cookies, you can go classic and use graham crackers and a piece of your favorite 🍫 chocolate. Mix it up with dark chocolate, white chocolate, or peanut butter cups.
  3. Get fancy and add a small scoop of peanut butter, or even a slice of fruit like 🍌 banana, before placing the top biscuit.
  4. Use flavored marshmallows-fruity, caramel, or vanilla-for a fun twist 🍭!
  5. Instead of Jet Puffed marshmallows, you could also use marshmallow creme.
  6. Sprinkle crushed nuts 🌰 on top for added crunch.

Best Served With

  • Serve these as a little after-dinner treat with ☕ coffee or tea.
  • Enjoy with a steamy mug of Homemade Hot Chocolate.
  • Turn your smores into a mini dessert sundae with ice cream and caramel drizzle.
  • Make it a sweet-and-salty combo with a fresh batch of popcorn 🍿 for the ultimate movie night 🎥.

You can bake these s’mores at 450°F (230°C) for a few minutes, watching closely.

Can I use mini marshmallows?

Yes, you can use mini marshmallows for these Easy Oven Smores, but you may need to use more per cookie to get the same effect. Arrange them in a pile to cover the surface.

Ingredients

  • 18 digestive chocolate biscuits, or any cookie that has chocolate on it
  • 9 marshmallows

Instructions

  • Set your oven to BROIL (top burner only) and on a small baking dish, arrange 9 digestive biscuits with the chocolate side facing up.
  • Add a marshmallow on top and put it in the oven until toasty. Keep an eye on it the whole time because they can easily burn. It should take 1-2 minutes.
