This Naan Pizza with goat cheese and figs sounds like a bougie wine bar flatbread 💅. Only, you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to make. With just a handful of ingredients, you can whip up this naan bread pizza 🍕 in only 10 minutes! It’s perfect for weeknights when you want something delicious without all the effort. Additionally, you could make a batch for gatherings when you want to wow your guests with elevated flavors using a simple method. Back home in Europe, we absolutely love sweet and salty combos, so here I topped it with fig and goat cheese 🧀. However, you can top your naan pizza with whatever ingredients you and your family love. Serve it with a glass of wine 🍷 and a simple salad like Maroulosalata (Greek Lettuce Salad) for an effortless, elevated meal.

Why You’ll Love Naan Pizza

This Naan Pizza with goat cheese and figs hits all the right notes 🎶! The naan bread 🫓 is brushed with olive oil infused with garlic and parsley, creating a fragrant base that bakes to a golden crisp. Creamy goat cheese 🐐🧀 creates tangy little pockets of flavor, balancing the sweetness of fresh figs and honey 🍯. This perfect little combo gives this flatbread sophisticated old-world charm. Toasted walnuts add an earthy crunch, while a generous handful of micro greens or arugula 🌿 adds a peppery brightness that cuts through the richness. The result is a simple meal that tastes like it was made by a gourmet chef 👩‍🍳—sweet, savory, creamy, and fresh in every bite.

Ingredients

🫓 Naan bread: I purchase pre-made naan bread for a ready-to-eat crust that bakes up crisp on the edges and stays soft and chewy in the middle. It is such a huge time saver!

🫒 Olive Oil: Brushed on before baking, it crisps the naan and carries the flavors of garlic and parsley into every bite.

🧄 Garlic: Infuses the oil with savory depth of flavor, giving the crust a subtle kick that balances the sweetness of figs and honey.

🌿 Parsley: Adds a bright lift so the crust tastes fresh rather than heavy.

🍇 Figs: Floral and juicy, fresh figs add a soul nourishing bite that plays beautifully with tangy goat cheese.

🐐 Goat cheese: I like to pinch pieces off the roll into bite sized piles to give my naan pizza a rustic look and feel.

🌿 Microgreens (or Arugula): Adds a bit of crunch, a peppery bite, and a bright pop of color.

🌰 Walnuts: Chopped nuts add crunch and are very grounding next to the softer, sweeter components.

🍯 Honey: I like to drizzle raw honey at the end to tie everything together with a hint of sweetness.

Nonna’s Tip 🫒

For a perfectly crisp crust, brush your naan with olive oil and toast it in the oven for 10 minutes before adding toppings. This prevents sogginess and keeps the crust light.

  • Classic Margherita: Sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil-a timeless trio.
