I know you’ve had Alfredo sauce on pasta, but have you tried it on wings? If you haven’t, I am about to change your life with these 🍗 Alfredo Chicken Wings. This recipe is not only delicious but incredibly easy! The Alfredo sauce just takes ⏲️ 30 minutes from start to finish, and I suggest you make double as you won’t be able to get enough.

Why You’ll Love Alfredo Chicken Wings

These Alfredo Chicken Wings recipe is a delicious way to take chicken to the next level. My Alfredo sauce recipe is a great base sauce that you can use for so many meal ideas: over 🍝 pasta, of course, but also over baked chicken breast or even over steamed 🥦 broccoli or cauliflower. The sauce is oh-so-creamy with a delicious, deep flavor thanks to good quality Parmesan cheese and oven-roasted garlic 🧄. Paired with crispy and juicy chicken wings…perfection!

How to Prepare Alfredo Chicken Wings

🌡️Start by preheating your oven to 400F (200C).

🧄 Next, take a whole head of garlic and cut off the top so that the garlic bulbs are exposed. Then, sprinkle it with a pinch of salt and pepper and a drop of olive oil.

🔥 Now, wrap it up in foil and roast it in the oven at 400F (200C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until caramelized and soft.

🥣 Let it cool, squeeze the bulbs out of the shell into a bowl and then give it a mash or a stir. Set it aside.

🍗 Now, add the chicken wings to a big bowl and season with salt pepper and add the avocado oil. With clean hands, massage them really well.

🌀 Next, add the chicken wings to the air-fryer basket making sure you don’t overlap them so the air can circulate all around.

⏲️ Air fry at 380F (190C) for 25 minutes tossing them halfway through.

🧈 Meanwhile, in a small saucepan set to medium-low heat, add the butter and stir in the roasted garlic. Add a pinch of chili flakes if you’d like.

🥛 Next, add the heavy cream and let it come to a boil. Then add in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

🌿 Once it has thickened, take the sauce off the heat. Now, top the wings with the Alfredo sauce, sprinkle with parsley for garnish and enjoy!

Nonna’s Tip

If you don’t have an air fryer you can bake these Alfredo Chicken Wings at 425F (220C) on a baking sheet. I like to place the wings on top of a wired rack so that the air circulates around it. Bake until crispy or fully cooked through. This should take approximately 45 minutes.

Variations and Substitutions for Alfredo Chicken Wings

  1. You can use this creamy Alfredo sauce over grilled or baked chicken breast instead of wings.
  2. Go vegetarian and serve the delicious sauce over steamed 🥦 broccoli or cauliflower.
  3. To make a vegan Alfredo sauce use cashew cream. 👩‍🍳 I would also use nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan cheese in that case as well.
