This Peaches and Cream Dessert is an easy, healthy, and novel idea to keep you cool this summer. Freezing and grating frozen 🍑 fruits is one of the best viral hacks I’ve seen lately. (Thanks to Frankie Gaw, @littlefatboyfrankie, who started the “shaved ice” trend online!). Fruit-based shaved ice has been a cultural staple of many countries, including Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines, to name a few. If you make a version of a shaved ice fruit dessert in your culture, please share in the ⌨️ comments!
Why You’ll Love This Peaches and Cream Dessert
My version of the viral Peaches and Cream Dessert is a fun twist on the classic combo. It’s such a silky, creamy and fruity dessert idea, and of course super healthy as well! Sometimes I also like to add in a scoop of 💪 protein powder to really amp up the health benefits. After freezing the peach and grating it, you’ll get the freshest peach “shaved ice” you’ve ever tasted. It’s 🧊 cold, fluffy and so perfectly peachy!
How to Prepare This Peaches and Cream Dessert
🧊 Place a peach in a sandwich bag and freeze it for at least a few hours or overnight, until completely frozen.
🌡️When ready to make your dish, allow the peach to thaw for a minute or two.
🍯 Now, add the yogurt to a bowl and stir in vanilla and a drizzle of honey.
🍑 Using a zester or microplane grater, grate the frozen peach on top of the yogurt.
😋 Drizzle on some extra honey and enjoy!
Nonna’s Tip 🧊
This dessert is meant to be enjoyed right away as the frozen peaches will melt into the yogurt.
