I am a lover of iced coffee but let’s be honest, $10 a day on a gourmet cup is just not realistic. This ☕ Iced Coffee with Vanilla makes it really easy and affordable to achieve barista-level coffee at home! All you need is coffee 🧊 chilling in the fridge and to whip up my easy simple syrup. This is the easiest most delicious recipe that’s perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up on a warm day.

Why You’ll Love Iced Coffee with Vanilla

This Iced Vanilla Coffee will make your afternoons that much better. It couldn’t be easier to make a big batch of vanilla simple syrup and keep it chilling in the 🧊 fridge with your coffee. Now, instead of heading to the coffee shop for your afternoon cup, head to the fridge. It’s creamy, smooth and has a beautiful vanilla flavor and aroma 🤎. You will not be disappointed with this one!

How to Prepare Iced Coffee with Vanilla

💧In a pot on the stove over medium-high stir your water and sugar until it’s like a syrup.

🤎 Take it off the heat and stir in the vanilla.

🌡️ Let it cool a touch so that it doesn’t melt your ice.

🧊 Add lots of ice to a coffee cup, as much simple syrup as you like and the coffee that you brewed and chilled. Then add a touch of your favorite creamer, stir and enjoy.

Nonna’s Tip

Common Questions

What is simple syrup?

Simple syrup is a basic combination of equal parts water to sugar. It’s made by stirring the mix over heat for 5-7 minutes until it thickens and becomes like “syrup”.

which vanilla do you use in this iced coffee with vanilla recipe?

I absolutely love this Vanilla Bean Paste. A little goes a long way and it’s so creamy and delicious.

How can I store the simple syrup?

You can store your simple syrup in the fridge because this makes more than you will need. Keep in mind the syrup will solidify, so when you want to use it again you have to reheat it on the stove or in the microwave.

What else can I use this vanilla simple syrup for?

In addition to this Iced Coffee with Vanilla, you can use the vanilla simple syrup to sweeten up hot coffee or tea, in a cocktail or mocktail (such as an espresso martini, or vanilla martini). You can also use it in a cake icing, drizzled over fresh fruit or even added to sparkling water.
