Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cauliflower broken or cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • pinch of salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder — all to taste
  • cayenne pepper is optional⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For the Sauce:⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • ½ cup hot sauce — I used Franks Red Hot
  • grated parmigiano — about 1/3-1/2 cup or as much cheese as you like

Instructions

  • Break the cauliflower into florettes or you can cut it into florettes as well into a big bowl. I like to cut the stalk and use it as well. Drizzle some oil and seasonings to taste. With clean hands massage and coat everything really well.
  • Add cauliflower to your air-fryer basket and air-fry at 400F for 10-12 minutes shaking halfway through. You can also make these in the oven on a baking sheet at 425F for about 25 to 30 minutes or until they are baked and golden.
  • In the meantime make the sauce in a sauce pan or a small pan on the stove. Add the butter and garlic and let it sit for a few minutes.
  • You do not want to burn the garlic you just want to infuse it on medium heat. Add the hot sauce and stir it in. Add freshly grated Parm and stir for another minute.
  • Take it off the heat and pour the sauce on top of your cauliflower. Mix it all together, add some extra grated parm on top and enjoy.

Notes

You can absolutely add honey to the sauce to make a nice sweet and tangy version of it. Feel free to use my hot honey in this recipe or to make these with my hot honey sauce instead. You can use any mild sauce of choice like Piri Piri sauce.
